Why are sufferings considered light in comparison to future glory?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.

In Romans 8:18, Paul makes a profound statement regarding afflictions, stating that they are not worth comparing to the glory that awaits believers in heaven. This perspective helps believers endure their temporal sufferings, knowing that they are transient and ultimately overshadowed by the eternal joy and glory promised in Christ. Our afflictions are part of the Christian experience and serve a purpose in shaping us to be more like Christ. The glory that shall be revealed encompasses not just a future hope, but a shared inheritance that includes the joy of being in perfect union with our Savior, which far outweighs any earthly struggles we face.
