Why are the sufferings of this life insignificant compared to glory?

Answered in 1 source

The sufferings of this life pale in comparison to the glory set to be revealed in us at Christ's coming.

Paul addresses the perspective of suffering in Romans 8:18, stating that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the coming glory. This verse offers believers hope by providing a heavenly perspective: the difficulties and trials faced in this life are temporary and ultimately dwarfed by the eternal glory that awaits at the resurrection. The glory that will be revealed is not just a future promise but also an assurance that God is at work in our suffering, and it prepares us for a greater weight of glory that will be fully manifest in our eternal state.
