Why did Jesus have to come into the flesh?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus came in the flesh to fulfill God's plan of salvation and serve as a mediator between God and man.

The incarnation of Christ is central to the Christian faith, as it fulfills God’s redemptive plan. Jesus came in the flesh to bear the penalty for sin and to bridge the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity. As seen in Titus 3:4-5, God's mercy and love led to the appearance of Jesus, who is both fully God and fully man. This essential truth emphasizes that having a high priest who can identify with our struggles and yet remain sinless was necessary for our salvation. Jesus’ incarnation also verifies that the doctrine of Christ teaches His unique divinity and humanity, making Him the only adequate mediator.
