Why do all men need to hear the truth?

The need for all men to hear the truth lies in the fact that the truth sets us free from the bondage of sin, as declared in John 8:32: 'You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.' The reality is that human nature is enmity against God, and the truth exposes the necessity of repentance and faith in Christ for salvation (John 3:36). Without hearing the truth, individuals cannot understand their need for redemption nor the means by which they are saved—through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the essence of life. Therefore, the preaching of the truth is essential for spiritual life.
