Why do believers need to hear the gospel continually?

Answered in 1 source

Believers need to hear the gospel continually for spiritual nourishment and to grow in faith.

Continual exposure to the gospel is vital for believers as it provides ongoing spiritual nourishment necessary for growth. As Paul acknowledges, even mature believers can struggle with carnality and a lack of understanding. Thus, preaching serves as a reminder of God's grace and the foundational truths of the gospel. It is through the preaching of the Word that believers are fed, encouraged, and equipped to live according to God's will. Just as physical nourishment is required repeatedly, so too is the spiritual sustenance offered through the gospel, which aids in the believer's growth and maturity in Christ.
