Why do Christians believe life comes solely through Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Christians believe life comes solely through Christ because He is the sole creator and source of both physical and spiritual life.

The belief that life comes solely through Christ is rooted in the doctrine that all existence is contingent upon Him. Colossians 1:16-17 states, 'For by Him all things were created... and in Him all things hold together.' This reflects that not only did Christ create life, but He also sustains it. For spiritual life, Christians understand that no one can find true eternal life except through faith in Jesus Christ, as He is the only mediator between God and man. Believers emphasize that apart from Him, one is dead in sins and in need of His saving grace for any hope of everlasting life.
