Why do Christians experience sickness if God loves them?

Answered in 1 source

Christians experience sickness as part of God's divine plan, not as a sign of His displeasure.

The faithful servants of God, including Job and Paul, experienced sickness, demonstrating that affliction is not a punishment but often a part of God's overarching purpose. Just as He permitted Lazarus to become ill, sickness can serve to deepen faith, teach humility, and is sometimes intended for the benefit of others. The assurance for believers is that their suffering, whether physical or emotional, is under the sovereign control of a loving Father who desires ultimately to glorify Himself through it.
