Why do Christians need strength from the Holy Spirit?

Answered in 1 source

Christians require strength from the Holy Spirit to persevere in their faith and resist spiritual adversaries.

In Ephesians 3:16, Paul prays that believers be strengthened with might through the Holy Spirit in their inner man. This strength is vital for Christians, as they face numerous challenges, both internal and external. Without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, their natural weaknesses may lead to despair and failure. The Holy Spirit equips believers with the necessary strength to resist temptation, endure trials, and fulfill God's calling in their lives. Moreover, this divine strength allows them to partake in the work of God's kingdom, enabling them to share His love and grace with others effectively.
