Why do Christians still get sick if God loves them?

Answered in 1 source

Christians experience sickness due to the fallen nature of their bodies, yet it serves God's purpose.

Sickness in the life of a believer does not signify God's anger or abandonment. Instead, it serves as an aspect of living in a fallen world affected by original sin. Romans 5:12 teaches that through Adam's sin, death entered the world, impacting all humanity. Even though believers are redeemed, they still inhabit bodies that are under the curse of sin and thus experience sickness. However, this suffering can lead to personal growth, reliance on God, and a platform to glorify Him in the midst of trials. Ultimately, God's love is demonstrated through His purposeful design in allowing His children to endure afflictions for their spiritual benefit and His glory.
