Why do many people refuse to come to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Many refuse to come to Christ due to the corruption of their will and nature.

The refusal to come to Christ is rooted in the fallen nature of humanity. As stated in John 5:40, Jesus pointed out that people will not come to Him to receive life because their wills are in bondage to sin. This spiritual blindness is not due to lack of opportunity or understanding but is a result of a depraved nature that loves darkness rather than light. It reflects a disposition against God, influenced by sin, which only God can remedy through regeneration. Until one experiences the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, they remain unwilling to respond to Christ's invitation.
