Why do some people come to Christ while others do not?

Answered in 1 source

Some people come to Christ because the Father draws them and gives them to the Son, while others remain blind to their need for Him.

The variance in response to the gospel can be attributed to God's sovereign choice and the work of the Holy Spirit. John 6:37 indicates that all whom the Father gives to the Son will come to Him. This divine drawing involves awakening and quickening the hearts of the elect, making them willing to respond in faith. In contrast, those who do not come are often blinded by the 'god of this world' (2 Corinthians 4:4), remaining in spiritual darkness. The difference lies in divine election and grace, demonstrating that salvation is ultimately a work initiated and completed by God.
