Why do some people deny the divinity of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Many deny Christ's divinity due to their fallen nature and unwillingness to acknowledge God's authority.

The denial of Christ's divinity often stems from a human inclination to resist the truth of God's sovereignty and holiness. In Romans 1:21-22, it explains how men, having known God, failed to honor Him, leading to delusion and folly. This concept reflects the biblical teaching that due to our sinful nature, we are prone to reject the truth that convicts us of our need for salvation. The holiest attribute of God, as revealed in Acts 3:14, confronts our sinful state, and many choose to suppress this truth rather than submit to His lordship. Such denial is often a refusal to engage with the profound implications of Christ as the Savior, which involves accountability to a holy God. Consequently, without a transformed heart, many remain in unbelief, denying the very divinity that holds the key to their salvation.
