Why do some people not believe in Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Some do not believe because they are not among His sheep, and therefore do not hear His voice (John 10:26).

According to John 10:26, Jesus said, 'But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep.' This stark statement addresses the mystery of belief, emphasizing the sovereignty of God in salvation. Many may hear the message of the Gospel and engage with the words intellectually, but true belief is a spiritual awakening initiated by God. Those who are not among His sheep lack the innate desire to follow and embrace Him, resulting in disbelief. This highlights a profound truth within sovereign grace theology: God has chosen a people for Himself, and it is through His mercy that they hear His voice and respond in faith.
