Why do some people not believe in the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

Some people do not believe because God has hidden the truth from them, revealing it instead to the humble (Matthew 11:25).

The Bible teaches that the inability to believe the gospel is rooted in God's sovereign choice to reveal truths to some while hiding them from others. In Matthew 11:25, Jesus thanks the Father for hiding these things from the wise and learned but revealing them to little children. This highlights that faith is not merely a human decision but a divine revelation, emphasizing that humbleness and recognition of one's need for grace play crucial roles in responding to the gospel. Hence, those who remain in disbelief often do so because they have not been drawn by the Father to understand the truth.
