Why do some people reject Jesus?

Answered in 2 sources

People reject Jesus because they do not see their need for Him as Savior or because they hold on to false assurances.

The rejection of Jesus is multifaceted, often rooted in a lack of perceived need for salvation. As highlighted in the sermon, many people believe they are not lost or do not need a savior (John 7:13; John 9:22). Additionally, some rely on religious traditions or personal achievements rather than true faith in Christ. The fear of public opinion or the offense of the cross also contributes to their resistance. As John 1:11 states, 'He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him,' which exemplifies humanity's stubbornness to accept the Truth revealed in Christ.
