Why do the ungodly not prosper according to Psalm 1?

Answered in 1 source

The ungodly do not prosper because they lack a foundation in God and His Word.

In Psalm 1:4-5, the psalmist contrasts the blessed man with the ungodly, describing them as like chaff which the wind drives away. This suggests that those without God are unstable and lack true life and nourishment. Without the foundation of God's truth, they are susceptible to being swayed by every wind of doctrine and circumstance, resulting in a lack of spiritual prosperity. Their ultimate fate is judgment, as they will not be able to stand in the congregation of the righteous, illustrating the precariousness of a life lived outside of God's will and guidance.
