Why do the unsaved hate the law of God?

Answered in 1 source

The unsaved hate the law because it condemns their sinful desires and reveals their enmity against God (Romans 8:7).

The hatred of the unconverted towards the law of God stems from its purity and strictness. Romans 8:7 states that the carnal mind is enmity against God and does not submit to His law. This reveals a fundamental opposition between the sinful nature of man and the righteousness of God's commands. Furthermore, the law's all-encompassing requirement for perfection exposes every aspect of human behavior, leaving no room for self-justification. The natural man loves sin and thus despises the law which stands against all that he holds dear, feeling condemned under its righteous demands.
