Why do we forget the blessings of God?

Answered in 1 source

We often forget God's blessings due to distractions and unbelief in our lives.

The psalmist in Psalm 103 urges believers to not forget the benefits of the Lord because it is a common human tendency to overlook or take for granted His mercies. Distractions from daily life, struggles, and the allure of worldly concerns can cloud our memory of God's goodness. Remembering His blessings requires intentionality, as our lack of faithfulness stems from forgetfulness. Regular reflection on God's merciful acts in our lives helps cultivate a thankful heart and strengthens our faith, allowing us to experience deeper joy in our relationship with Him.
