Why do we need a Savior?

Answered in 2 sources

We need a Savior because all humanity is born in sin, separated from God, and unable to save themselves.

The need for a Savior stems from the biblical truth that all have sinned and are therefore deserving of judgment (Romans 6:23). Scripture teaches that we are born into a state of sin, as seen in Ezekiel 16:1-14, where it details our helpless condition at birth. Without Christ, we are separated from God, lost in our sin, and unable to reach Him on our own. A Savior is necessary to bridge that gap, providing redemption through His sacrifice. Ephesians 2:8-9 clarifies that it is by grace we have been saved through faith, and this is not from ourselves; it is the gift of God. The Savior meets our deepest need for reconciliation with God.
