Why do we need to be reconciled to God?

Answered in 1 source

Reconciliation is essential because our sins alienate us from God, incurring His wrath.

The need for reconciliation with God arises from our sinful nature, which alienates us from Him and brings about His righteous anger. According to Romans 5:10, we were enemies with God because of our sins and needed a mediator to restore our relationship with Him. Christ's role as our mediator not only satisfies God's justice through His sacrificial death but also enables us to approach God with confidence, knowing that through Him, we can attain peace with God.
