Why do we praise God if creation already does?

Answered in 1 source

Our praise to God is an active acknowledgment of His sovereignty, which sets us apart as His people who are called to worship Him intentionally.

While creation indeed praises God, as reflected in Psalm 98, our worship as humans is unique and intentional. We are called to consciously acknowledge God's sovereignty and majesty, which goes beyond mere existence. This act of praise signifies our relationship with Him and our response to His grace. Unlike inanimate creation, our voices and hearts allow us to purposefully declare God's greatness and engage in a relationship with Him, giving evidence of our understanding and gratitude.
