Why do we refer to Jesus as King?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is referred to as King because He holds sovereign authority over all creation and reigns eternally.

Referring to Jesus as King signifies His ruling authority and sovereign reign over all things. In John 19:14, Pilate declares 'Behold your King!' demonstrating the recognition of Jesus’ authority. His kingship is established not only through His teachings and miracles but also through His suffering to secure redemption for His people. According to Isaiah 40:9, He is proclaimed as God and King. As Christians, recognizing Him as our King instills a sense of allegiance and hope, knowing that He governs with justice and righteousness.
