Why do we struggle to trust God?

Answered in 1 source

We struggle to trust God due to our human instincts and a reliance on our own understanding instead of His wisdom.

The struggle to trust God often stems from our inherent human tendency to rely on our own instincts and understanding. As stated in Proverbs 3:5, we are encouraged not to lean on our own understanding because it is often flawed and limited. This prideful reliance can lead to anxiety and uncertainty. Additionally, the trials of life and our natural desire for control can make it difficult to surrender completely to God's will. Trusting in God requires humility and the recognition that His ways are higher than ours, thus challenging our instincts to have things figured out on our own.
