Why do we struggle with believing in death?

Answered in 1 source

Struggles with death stem from unpleasantness, uncertainty, and ultimately, unbelief.

Death is often a subject avoided due to its unpleasant nature and the uncertainty surrounding it. Many choose to disregard its inevitability, leading to a mindset of disbelief. The root of this struggle is primarily spiritual, as highlighted in Romans 7, where the Apostle Paul expresses the conflict of recognizing sin and death. Our attraction to lies rather than truth reflects the spiritual death that comes from Adam. The gospel calls us to confront the reality of death while also offering hope through Christ's resurrection, which overcomes sin and death for those who believe.
