Why does disobedience lead to danger?

Answered in 1 source

Disobedience leads to danger because it disconnects us from God's protection and guidance.

Disobedience places individuals in danger by removing them from God’s protective will and guidance. As illustrated in the sermon, Jesus explained that 'if a man walk in the night, he stumbles because there is no light,' referring to how walking in disobedience aligns one with spiritual darkness. This principle is seen throughout scripture, where disobedience results in separation from God's blessings and leads to dire consequences, as with King Saul’s partial obedience leading to his downfall (1 Samuel 15). Therefore, obedience is not just a matter of rule-following; it is essential for living within the safety and light of God's will.
