Why doesn't God speak out loud to us?

Answered in 1 source

God does not speak audibly because He has provided His complete revelation through Scripture, the Word of God.

Many believers desire an audible voice from God, but as the sermon explains, God has chosen to speak definitively through His Word. In Hebrews 1:1-2, it is affirmed that God spoke in various ways throughout history, but has now spoken through His Son. This indicates that God’s final revelation is contained within the Scripture, which addresses everything necessary for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Therefore, God’s silence in an audible sense is purposeful, as the complete and sufficient message has already been given in written form, allowing all people to have access to the same divine truth. This ensures that we all hear the same voice of God as revealed in His Word, which is equipped to meet our needs.
