Why is abiding in Christ's love important for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Abiding in Christ's love is vital for spiritual growth and producing fruit (John 15:5).

Abiding in Christ's love is central to the Christian life, as seen in John 15:5 where Jesus states, 'I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in them bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.' This illustrates the importance of remaining in a close relationship with Christ, which leads to the manifestation of spiritual fruit, such as love, joy, and good works. The more we dwell in His love, the more we reflect His character and fulfill His commands, thus glorifying the Father.
