Why is acknowledging Jesus important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Acknowledging Jesus is crucial as it is through Him that we come to know God and receive true spiritual sight.

Acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Son of God is central to the Christian faith. As highlighted in the healing of the blind man, true sight is the understanding that Jesus, sent from God, is essential for salvation. Without acknowledging Him, one remains in sin and spiritual blindness, similar to the Pharisees who refused to see truth because of their self-righteousness (John 9:41). Therefore, Christians must boldly proclaim their faith in Christ, recognizing Him as the source of their salvation and the revelation of God (John 1:1, 1 John 5:20).
