Why is acknowledging our need for Christ important?

Answered in 1 source

Acknowledging our need for Christ helps us understand our dependence on His grace for salvation.

Recognizing our need for Christ is the foundation of our faith. It releases us from self-reliance and opens our hearts to receive God's transforming grace. As illustrated in the sermon, when we see our spiritual poverty, we are moved to seek Christ earnestly. This understanding leads to true commitment to Him, as we realize that without Him, we can do nothing. Jesus Himself said that blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven, emphasizing the divine blessing that comes from recognizing our neediness.
