Why is being a believer important?

Answered in 1 source

Being a believer means receiving the gift of faith and trusting in the finished work of Christ for salvation.

The importance of being a believer lies in the understanding that faith is a gift from God. As stated in the sermon, believing involves recognizing one's sinful nature and the sovereign holiness of God. Believers are called to trust in the finished work of Christ, knowing that salvation has been completely accomplished through His sacrifice. This assurance grants believers comfort in knowing they will not face judgment, as God's mercy abounds towards those He has chosen. Furthermore, being a believer means actively following Christ, engaging in the life of faith, and growing in grace as we navigate the challenges of this life, ultimately leading to eternal communion with God.
