Why is being a servant important in Christianity?

In Romans 12:7, Paul notes that ministry, which means serving, is a vital part of being a member of the body of Christ. The essence of being a Christian is to follow the example of Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). This servanthood reflects humility and selflessness, qualities that are essential to the Christian experience.
