Why is being able to receive admonishment important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Receiving admonishment is crucial for Christians as it fosters humility and accountability, helping us remain steadfast in faith.

The importance of being able to receive admonishment cannot be overstated. It requires humility and recognizes that none of us are beyond correction. As stated in the sermon, if we cannot be admonished, we have no business admonishing others. Being open to correction and willing to listen when others point out errors in our ways enables us to grow spiritually. Paul encourages this attitude by pointing to the need for all believers to acknowledge their faults and seek guidance from trusted brethren. It is through this mutual encouragement and accountability that we can maintain our faith and avoid falling into the snares of sin.
