Why is being grounded in the faith important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Being grounded in the faith is crucial to prevent believers from being swayed by false teachings and to ensure their spiritual growth.

Being grounded in the faith is of paramount importance for Christians because it provides stability and safeguards against the errant philosophies and deceit present in the world. Colossians 2:8 warns believers to beware of being spoiled through vain philosophies that can lead them away from the truth of the Gospel. In addition, Ephesians 4:14 encourages believers to mature and no longer be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. A solid foundation in faith allows Christians to grow spiritually, discern truth from error, and walk confidently in their relationship with Christ, fulfilling their duty to live and proclaim the Gospel.
