Why is being part of God's royal family important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Being part of God's royal family signifies our identity as chosen and redeemed people, granting us new status, purpose, and access to God.

Being part of God's royal family is crucial for Christians as it defines our identity in Christ. We see in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood; this means that we have been set apart for God's purposes. Additionally, as heirs of the promise, we gain access to all spiritual blessings and the privilege of approaching God as our Father. This understanding transforms our view of our lives and our responsibility to represent Christ's kingdom in this world. Our status is not based on our performance, but solely on Christ’s merit, which frees us from the bondage of legalism and empowers us to live in light of His grace.
