Why is believing in Christ's righteousness important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Believing in Christ's righteousness is vital as it provides assurance of salvation and a right standing before God.

For Christians, believing in the righteousness of Christ is essential because it assures them of their salvation and standing before God. Our own righteousness is described as 'filthy rags' in Isaiah 64:6. Without Christ, we remain under condemnation, but with Him, we are justified freely by His grace. When believers place their faith in Christ as their righteousness, they find peace and security, knowing that they are accepted before God not based on their merits but on Christ's finished work.
