Why is believing in Christ's sacrifice important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Believing in Christ's sacrifice is vital because it is the only means of obtaining forgiveness and justification.

The importance of believing in Christ's sacrifice cannot be overstated, as it forms the foundation of the Christian faith. According to Hebrews 10:10, we are sanctified through the offering of Christ's body once for all. This means that through His sacrifice, believers are justified and 'perfected forever.' Unlike the Old Testament sacrifices that could never take away sins, Christ's sacrificial death fully satisfies God's justice and enables reconciliation. It is through this faith in Christ that individuals are made new creations and can rest assured in their salvation.
