Why is believing in God important?

Believing in God connects us to His grace, salvation, and the eternal hope through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:21).

Belief in God is fundamental to the Christian faith as it establishes a personal relationship with Him. 1 Peter 1:21 states that 'who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead.' This belief is not merely intellectual assent but an active trust in God's character and His promises in Christ. It is through faith that we receive grace and the assurance of our salvation. Believing in God means acknowledging His sovereignty, righteousness, and mercy, which then fosters our hope and assurance for eternal life.
