Why is believing in God's unchanging nature important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Believing in God's unchanging nature solidifies our hope and assurance in His promises.

God's immutability is crucial for Christians as it assures us that His promises and character do not waver like human beings. Hebrews 13:8 declares that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. This unchanging nature of God means that His Word remains true and faithful, giving us a firm foundation amidst life's uncertainties. Furthermore, knowing that God does not change provides us comfort in His eternal love and salvation. When everything around us can be shaken, it is this faithful God who remains our refuge and unshakeable anchor.
