Why is believing in Jesus better than just believing in God?

Answered in 1 source

Believing in Jesus as our mediator is essential because it provides access to God's grace and not just acknowledgment of His existence.

In the sermon, it is emphasized that merely believing in God, without recognizing Jesus as the mediator, offers no comfort. While many affirm belief in God, it is Christ who bridges the gap between sinful humanity and a holy God. Hebrews 4:14-16 describes Jesus as our great high priest, who is touched by our weaknesses, thus granting us access to God’s throne of grace. Without acknowledging Christ's redemptive work, our belief in God remains incomplete and devoid of the peace and comfort that comes from true faith in Jesus.
