Why is Christ an anchor for our souls?

In Hebrews 6, Christ is portrayed as the 'sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.' This means that when we encounter life's uncertainties, fears, and trials, we can rely on Jesus to provide stability and reassurance. His role as our High Priest, having entered the Holy of Holies on our behalf, grants us access to the presence of God and ensures our safety. Our faith in Christ, who has fulfilled all righteousness for us, allows us to remain anchored in Him regardless of the storms surrounding us. The anchor metaphor illustrates the security we have in the knowledge of our salvation and the hope of eternal life.
