Why is Christ called the faithful witness?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ is termed the faithful witness because He accurately represents God and reveals His nature and plan of salvation.

In Revelation 1:5, Jesus is called the faithful witness, which underscores His role in revealing God’s truth to humanity. He was faithful to the mission He received from the Father, demonstrating God's love and righteousness through His teachings and ultimately on the cross. Throughout His ministry, Christ faithfully proclaimed God's nature, calling for repentance and faith while also bearing witness to the grace that comes through His sacrifice. His faithfulness assures believers that the promises made regarding salvation are certain and that He will always intercede for us at the right hand of God (Romans 8:34).
