Why is Christ called the living water?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is referred to as the living water because He provides eternal life and spiritual sustenance to believers.

In Scripture, Christ is depicted as the fountain of living water, representing the source of all blessings and salvation. John 4:10 speaks of this when Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that He can give her living water that will quench her spiritual thirst permanently. This metaphor emphasizes how, unlike worldly pursuits that leave us wanting, Jesus satisfies our deepest needs and draws us into an everlasting relationship with God.
