Why is Christ our armor important for Christians?

In the Christian life, believers are called to put on the whole armor of God, which is fundamentally Christ Himself (Ephesians 6:11-17). This armor includes various components symbolizing truth, righteousness, and salvation, each ultimately pointing to Jesus. The apostle Paul encourages Christians to rely on Christ as their source of strength and protection against spiritual adversaries. Without being clothed in this armor, one is spiritually defenseless and vulnerable to condemnation and deception from the enemy (Colossians 3:3). The assurance found in Christ empowers believers to stand firm against the fiery darts of Satan.
