Why is Christ our hope for righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our hope for righteousness because our own righteousness is insufficient, and we rely solely on His perfect righteousness.

According to Romans 3:20 and Isaiah 64:6, all human righteousness is like filthy rags before God. We cannot earn justification through our deeds; thus, Christ becomes our hope. Romans 10:4 teaches that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. His perfect life and sacrificial death provide the only acceptable righteousness that can be credited to believers, ensuring that they stand justified before God.
