Why is Christ our mediator important?

Answered in 1 source

Christ as our mediator is essential because no one can approach God without Him, as He alone represents us before the Father.

The role of Christ as our mediator is pivotal in the Christian faith. As seen in the sermon, the incense offerings in the temple symbolize the prayers and worship of the believers being accepted through Christ. As the ultimate intercessor, only through Christ can believers have access to God. Uzziah's attempt to worship God without the proper mediation exemplifies the futility of coming to God without Christ. The Bible clearly states in 1 Timothy 2:5, 'For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' Therefore, understanding Christ as our mediator affirms our reliance on His righteousness and intercessory work to be accepted by God.
