Why is Christ our only hope?

Answered in 1 source

Christ alone fulfills the requirements for our righteousness and reconciliation with God.

Christ is our sole hope because through Him we receive the perfect righteousness needed to stand before a holy God. He accomplished this by taking our sins upon Himself, as articulated in 2 Corinthians 5:21, which states that 'He made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.' Without Christ, we remain in our sinful state, bearing the weight of God's judgment. Our trust should not lie in our own works but solely in the completed work of Christ, who died and rose again to secure our eternal redemption.
