Why is Christ our Redeemer important for Christians?

The importance of Christ as our Redeemer cannot be overstated in Christian theology. He fulfills the role of our kinsman-redeemer as highlighted in Ruth's story, where Boaz represented Christ through His willingness to redeem Ruth and Naomi, bringing them out of their destitution.
