Why is Christ our Sabbath important for Christians?

In Hebrews 4:9-10, it states that there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for 'whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.' This illustrates that the ultimate rest is found in Christ, who fulfilled the requirements of the law on behalf of believers. By ceasing from their own works and trusting in His finished work, Christians find peace and assurance of salvation.
