Why is Christ's crucifixion fundamental to our faith?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's crucifixion is fundamental as it is the means by which sinners are redeemed and have eternal life.

The crucifixion of Christ holds the central place in the Christian faith as it represents the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of humanity. It is through His death that believers are justified and reconciled to God. Colossians 2:14 states that He blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, nailing it to His cross, thus freeing us from the condemnation of the law. Moreover, it is through the crucified Savior that we find life, as Jesus Himself said, 'I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me' (John 12:32). This act of love provides believers with hope, assurance, and acceptance before God.
