Why is Christ's dual nature important for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's dual nature as both God and man is essential for Him to effectively mediate and atone for our sins.

The necessity of Christ's dual nature stems from the requirement that a sacrifice must be both sufficient to cover sin and relatable to humanity. As the God-man, Christ possessed the divine strength necessary to withstand the wrath of God while also representing humanity. This is reflected in the altar's materials: the incorruptible wood symbolizes His sinless humanity, and the brass signifies His divine strength. Without Christ's divinity, any attempt at atonement would be inadequate; without His humanity, He could not take our place. Therefore, both aspects are integral to our understanding of His redemptive work.
